An easy burgers recipe in the air fryer recipe that's SO good you'll never buy premade burgers again! Using raw ground beef and seasoning like garlic and basil makes air fried cheeseburgers juicy and full of flavor.
Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees F for 5 minutes.
Combine the ground beef, olive oil, garlic, sea salt, pepper, and dried basil in a medium-size bowl.
Divide the burger mix into 4 equal size balls and shape them into flattened patties.
Depending on which size of air fryer you have, you'll be able to make 2 or up to 4 air fryer burgers at a time.
Cook the burgers in the air fryer for a total of 12 minutes, flipping after 8 minutes, or until your desired degree of doneness.
If you're making cheeseburgers, add the cheese after flipping the burgers.
Serve the cheeseburgers or burgers hot with your favorite burger toppings like sauces, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles, or avocado slices.
Notes
If you bought grocery store fresh burger patties, follow the cooking temperature and time in the recipe. Since grocery store patties are often thinner than homemade, they could cook a minute or two faster.
Use a cooking thermometer to check the internal temperature, and cook until they reach 165 degrees.
A burger press can be used to evenly shape the patties, but it's not essential. You can also shape them with clean hands.
The recipe makes four 4 oz burgers, you'll want to use small buns or add two burgers per larger bun. These are great served on lettuce leaves too for a high protein low carb meal.
