Quick and easy precooked chicken sausage in an air fryer makes for a healthy dinner in just 15 minutes! Serve them plain with your favorite sides or add in veggies like peppers and onions.
Add the sausages to the air fryer basket. If you want to add veggies we recommend sliced bell peppers, onions, zucchini, or mushrooms.
Cook the precooked air fryer chicken sausage for a total of 8-10 minutes, flipping them over halfway through the cooking time. The internal temperature should be at 165 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have uncooked sausage, they'll take around 12 minutes to cook.
Notes
Aidell's chicken & apple sausage and Aidell's roasted garlic & gruyere cheese were used for the recipe testing, any brand will work. You can cook multiple packages of chicken sausage at one time in an air fryer. We’ve cooked up to 4 packages at once stacking the sausage on top of each other. If you stack the sausage make sure to shake the basket periodically for even browning. The recipe will work for any large pre-cooked sausages, whether they’re chicken, pork, or beef. If you have a large air, fryer roasting quick-cooking vegetables such as sliced onions, peppers, green beans or mushrooms at the same time with the sausages makes for a quick one-dish meal.
