Cook bacon in the Instant Pot super fast to use in pressure cooker recipes or just to prevent grease splatters you'd get from using the stovetop. Works great for slices, cut in half bacon, or bacon pieces.
Turn the Instant Pot to Saute High and wait until the pot reads Hot before starting to cook.
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the bottom of the pot to help prevent the bacon from sticking.
Lay the bacon strips in the Instant Pot leaving a little room on all sides, about 5 whole strips will fit in the pot.
The bacon will take about 7 minutes to cook in total for perfectly crisp bacon, be sure to flip the bacon over halfway through cooking.
Remove the bacon from the pot and drain the grease (or save it for recipes!). For easy clean-up, add a little water to the pot to deglaze the stuck on bits on the bottom of the pot.
Notes
The bacon in Instant Pot recipe works great for whole bacon slices, bacon cut in half, or even chopped bacon pieces. You can use either regular pork bacon, turkey bacon, or thick cut bacon. Thicker bacon could take longer to cook than thinner slices.Cooking bacon in a pressure cooker is a great way to add extra flavor to an Instant Pot recipe calling for cooked bacon. Be sure to scrape up bacon from the bottom of the pot to prevent getting a burn signal in your recipe.
